This will come as a big blow to fans of Manchester United and to the club at large as there are reports in the Tuttosport today claiming that long term Manchester United summer target Ivan Perisic is set to sign a new deal at Inter Milan and it is also believed that the deal contains an “anti-Manchester United” clause in it. Reports in the same media have also disclosed that if the Croatian signs the deal then he would become Inter Milan’s highest paid player.

Ivan Perisic would now earn a massive €4.7 million per year and that takes him ahead of Argentine player Mauro Icardi who would move to second highest paid player at the club. Meanwhile, Mauro Icardi’s 10 percent salary increase if Inter Milan qualifies for the UEFA Champions league and his image rights are the only bonuses presently keeping him above Ivan Perisic when it comes to salary stakes.

Manchester United tried signing the Croatian all summer but failed to reach an agreement with the Italian side and this has prompted the 28 year old midfielder to remain in San Siro and according to reports in the same media, Inter Milan will add a €70 million release clause if he is to be prized away from Italy.
